Community Focus

Our teen class at Founded in Truth seeks this community every week.  We believe that in the battle for our kid’s hearts, we must be very deliberate.  Deuteronomy chapter 6 verses 5-9 says we are to love the Lord with everything, to speak of His Torah and to teach it to our children when we sit, when we stand, walk and play.  We will do plenty of play, but what we are about is teaching, speaking, and talking about God’s law at every opportunity.

To this end, we will pursue the kid’s hearts with passion. In Luke chapter 10 verses 25-37, Yeshua spells out the entire Torah with the parable of the Good Samaritan, explaining that loving him with everything also means loving others.  This is the community we chase after.

Purpose Driven

Genesis chapter 1 says,” In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”  The Hebrew word for created is bara.  It means to give purpose or function to.  In the way that God gave purpose to the earth, we seek to plant that purpose in the hearts of our kids.

We want your kids here, but we also want them to want to be here, in community, safe from the distractions that seek their hearts.  We will have fun, for sure, and tons of it.  But we seek a bigger purpose- to follow after our King with everything, and to bring the life-changing news of our Messiah to our teens.

“Let no one despise your youth; instead, you should be an example to the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
1 Timothy 4:12
