Empathy for the Wicked? Cain
In the story of the Bible, the Biblical authors put great effort into the details of every character, building them up to portray a greater message. Esau is depicted as "hairy," giving the reader an image of a beastly man who lives in the field while Jacob is depicted as "smoothed skinned," much like a snake which Jacob emulated when he deceived his father. In this new series, we will be taking a closer look at the "villains" and "evil ones" throughout the narrative, taking note of their stories, their sin, and what the Bible is trying to warn us about concerning their appearance in the story. Sometimes finding empathy with the wicked can help you avoid the same pitfalls that got them that label.
